Vimal Daga Arrested by Gurugram Police After DLF Police Station FIR

GURUGRAM: Gurugram Police have arrested technology trainer Vimal Daga in connection with a criminal case registered at DLF Police Station, bringing a serious legal dispute involving the technology professional into the spotlight in the city.

The FIR, registered on July 29, 2026, names Daga and two other individuals as accused. Police have invoked Sections 313, 323, 34, 376(2)(n), 406 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The complaint alleges that the dispute dates back to 2017. The complainant has alleged that she came into contact with Daga and that their relationship developed after assurances regarding marriage.

According to the allegations recorded in the FIR, the complainant later faced alleged physical violence and threats. The complaint also refers to allegations concerning pregnancy and an alleged miscarriage.

The financial aspect of the case has also drawn attention. The complainant has alleged that around ₹70 lakh was involved in financial coercion. A separate amount of approximately ₹10.5 lakh has been described as a personal loan in the complaint.

The case also includes allegations relating to online and electronic communications. The complainant has alleged that several mobile numbers and email accounts were used in connection with harassment and threats. The FIR also refers to allegations concerning private photographs and videos.

The arrest comes at a time when Daga has already been the subject of media attention over a separate dispute originating in Jaipur. That earlier matter involved allegations of blackmail and extortion and resulted in police action. The present Gurugram case is separate and concerns allegations made against Daga.

For Gurugram, the immediate focus will now be on the police investigation and the evidence available to investigators. Digital records, financial transactions, communication history and statements from the parties are likely to be relevant to the proceedings.
