Meet The Founder Of WE HUB, Deepthi Ravula
Deepthi Ravula is the woman behind the creation of WE Facility, the Government of Telangana’s incubator hub for women entrepreneurs. WE Hub (Women Entrepreneurs Hub) is India’s first and only government-run incubator dedicated to promoting and nurturing female entrepreneurship. WEHUB’s mission is to promote and foster women entrepreneurs through incubation and acceleration to help them start, scale, and sustain businesses with global market access, government access, and a collaborative ecosystem with partners in India and around the world.
Deepthi earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Electronics and Communications, respectively. Her first employment was dealing with audio acoustics at Nokia. She moved to Palm to work on smartphones, and after a three-year spell there, she moved to Atheros, now Qualcomm, a company that made WiFi and Bluetooth chips.
She worked at Litepoint after Qualcomm, which was ultimately acquired by Teradyne. She claims that her entire 15-year journey consisted of growing, learning, and observing technological developments that lead to today’s 4G and 5G networks.
Telangana’s government has created a number of opportunities for entrepreneurship and inventive thinking. WE HUB has aided 4527 women-led businesses and nurtured 327 start-ups through 16 start-up programmes, resulting in a total of 53.2 crores raised by start-ups.
With WE HUB, Deepthi’s main focus is on providing all women entrepreneurs in India with technical, financial, government, and policy support they need to start-up, scale-up, and accelerate with global market access.
