Making co-living easy with CoHo, Uday Lakkar

Uday Lakkar is the founder of CoHo, the first chain of “co-living” spaces in India. It is an acronym for Comfortable Homes. By gathering a group of people with similar interests in one location, the company has developed a thriving network of fully furnished rental homes with utility services, an online concierge, and—most importantly—an out-of-this-world community living.

Lakkar became aware of the challenges of apartment rental throughout his college years. The grounds for the prejudice were community, background, language, and single status. He initially used a marketplace approach for the internet to match housing seekers directly with providers. In India, the standard of housing for both working professionals and students is appalling. So he made the decision to change his direction and offer a plug-and-play solution.

He began by offering the most basic forms of housing, developed a sound system, and expanded their offerings. Nowadays, CoHo houses offer everything from lodging and meals to social events. Customer onboarding, payment, complaint resolution, and community involvement are all covered by the CoHo Resident app.

The firms’ apps allow tenants to request maintenance and repairs as well as make digital rent payments. Because millennial lifestyles are flexible, CoHo offers tenants the option of choosing weekday meal plans if they prefer eating out on the weekends.

In addition, CoHo will help you furnish your home and help you attract customers if you wish to invest in real estate. This co-living startup currently provides services to Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Noida.
