Gurgaon will be made “Smartest City” Says Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter said Gurugram was not included in the center’s smart city mandate because the state wants to make it the “smartest city”.

Gurugram is not included in the center’s smart city mission because the Haryana government wants to make it the ‘smartest city’ instead of being smart, Prime Minister Manohar Lal Hatter said on Saturday.

At the rally, the prime minister said a new chapter was added to the journey that began eight years ago to make Gurugram a developed city.

Regarding the previous formulations, Khattar said they used his Gurugram and paid no attention to its development. Various development plans of previous governments remained on paper and were not implemented.

“When our government was launched in 2014, we expanded development and ensured that development plans related to Gurugram were formulated and approved only here, without the need to post files for approval. To this end, the Gurugram Urban Development Authority (GMDA) has been established,” said the Prime Minister.

“Gurugram was not included when the central government implemented its smart city mission because it aims to make Gurugram the smartest city, not just a smart city,” he said.

As for smart cities, the central government is providing his 5 billion rupees, while in Gurugram he said a project worth 1,000 rupees has been completed and many other projects are underway. he added.

He said the project has been approved to move his line of metro, which connects the Param Vihar area and Dwarka Sector 21, from HUDA city center to Gurugram.

He also mentioned his Rs 542 crore project run by GMDA, He Sheetla Mata Medical College and Multispecialty Hospital.
