In a significant move that underscores the growing momentum in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, the Jaidka Group-backed Stella Moto has announced its entry into the domestic electric two-wheeler space. The Bengaluru-based Jaidka Group, known for its diversified interests in transport, automobile, and logistics segments, is set to launch its debut electric scooter, ‘Buzz,’ next month. With a robust presence in both passenger and cargo electric three-wheeler segments, the group’s foray into the two-wheeler industry marks a strategic expansion to strengthen its position in the burgeoning domestic EV landscape.

The Jaidka Group operates manufacturing units in Howrah, West Bengal, and Hosur, Tamil Nadu, with a combined production capacity of 20,000 vehicles annually. The upcoming electric scooter, ‘Buzz,’ is poised to leverage the group’s expertise in the EV domain, building on its established footprint in the three-wheeler category. As the group sets its sights on the two-wheeler market, the move aligns with broader industry trends and consumer preferences favoring electric mobility.

Gopal K Jaidka, Director at Jaidka Group, emphasized the strategic preparations that preceded the entry into the electric two-wheeler segment. “We have spent the last few years developing a strong R&D and technology infrastructure to create EVs. We are now prepared to introduce these vehicles with the best range, among others. We’ve been watching the EV space evolve over the last few years and have identified some gaps, which we intend to fill with our new product offerings,” stated Gopal K Jaidka.

Beyond the imminent launch of the ‘Buzz’ electric scooter, Stella Moto has ambitious plans for its EV lineup. The company has signaled its intention to introduce high-speed electric scooters and bikes, with detailed plans for these offerings slated for announcement in the coming months. The manufacturing of these vehicles will be centered at the Hosur production facility, reflecting Stella Moto’s commitment to scaling up its production capabilities.

Stella Moto aims to achieve robust sales figures, targeting over 10,000 vehicles by the end of the fiscal year. The company’s ambitious growth trajectory extends to its production capacity, with plans to scale up to 100,000 units. To enhance its market presence and accessibility, Stella Moto is set to establish retail outlets in key cities. The company has already taken strides in this direction by appointing 55 authorized dealers, with a target to expand this network to 200 in the coming year.

As the EV market undergoes dynamic transformations, Stella Moto, under the leadership of Gopal K Jaidka, positions itself to address emerging consumer needs and market trends. The entry into the electric two-wheeler segment aligns with the broader shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly mobility solutions. Stella Moto’s commitment to leveraging advanced R&D and technology infrastructure reflects a forward-thinking approach to stay ahead in the competitive EV landscape.

Gopal K Jaidka’s strategic vision and Stella Moto’s foray into the electric two-wheeler space underscore the pivotal role the Jaidka Group aims to play in shaping the future of electric mobility. The upcoming launch of the ‘Buzz’ electric scooter and the subsequent introduction of high-speed models position Stella Moto as a key player in the evolving EV ecosystem. With a focus on sales expansion, production scalability, and retail outreach, the company is poised to make a lasting impact on the domestic electric two-wheeler market.
