Founder Of India’s Top Workforce Development Platform- Edubridge, Girish Singhania
Girish Singhania is the founder of Edubridge which is India’s top Workforce Development Platform, which assists learners in securing jobs with leading corporations through training and other career-development services.
While working in Investment Banking at Edelweiss in Mumbai in 2008, he had the concept for EduBridge. Prior to that, he was a member of Proctor & Gamble’s “Rural India Project,” which involved expanding the company’s activities into rural India. On the one hand, this experience highlighted the scarcity of jobs in these areas, but on the other hand, a company like P&G struggled to locate individuals who could execute their tasks successfully.
In order to convince people to sell things in these places, there was a lot of attrition and a lot of hurdles. So, in his mind, there was a distinct market with a huge gap between a job seeker and a job supplier, where he saw that both existed but couldn’t interact for some reason. That’s when the concept for this book grew in his head, prompting him to spend over a year researching it.
EduBridge’s work begins with identifying the talents that recruiters require today and tomorrow, and then focusing on developing those skills among the young so that they have them when we introduce them to recruiters for employment in their respective organizations.
Girish expects Edubridge to have an influence on about 40,000 pupils, and he expects that number to expand exponentially as his online effort takes off on a bigger scale. Through their interventions and increased personnel strength, he and his team intend to rapidly grow and reach a million students per year within the next 3 to 4 years.
