Founder of GRAINPAD and Zini, Dr. Rohit Sharma

Dr. Rohit Sharma is the founder of ZINI, a virtual physician powered by AI and trained on medical data based in Delhi. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of GRAINPAD Private Limited, a company dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to high-quality, accurate medical information anytime they require it. GRAINPAD, his healthcare firm, is now working on a virtual physician for everyone.
He worked in Government and Private Hospitals for almost three years after graduating from Govt. Medical College in Faridkot, Punjab, with an MBBS degree. He also ran his own private practice for a few months before launching GRAINPAD, his own healthcare firm. He is currently enrolled in an Entrepreneurship Program at IIM Rohtak, with the goal of turning his firm into a viable and self-sustaining enterprise.

He believes that now is the moment for doctors and healthcare professionals to begin implementing these new technologies in order to expand their reach and effectiveness. Chatbots powered by AI can be used as the first line of screening as well as a guiding tool for the general public. The government is already utilizing chatbots to assist people to assess their COVID 19 risk via the Arogya Setu app. Similar chatbots, such as ZINI, can be embedded in all government websites to provide consumers with basic healthcare information while they are at home, so that anyone, everywhere, can get accurate counsel whenever they need it. In India, ZINI can help close the gap between doctors and patients. ZINI can also assist in the collection of structured data, which can aid research and policymakers in making data-driven decisions regarding their communities.
