Famous Australian Pop-Star, Amy Shark

Amy Shark is one of the most famous Australian Singer and song producer and also an immensely talented musician and specially she is an awesome guitarist.

Amy Shark’s original name is Amy Louise Billings, who started her professional music career with participating in a singing show in 2007.

She learnt her singing skills from her high school named Southport High School where along with singing she also learnt many other impressive skills such as acting in theatres, playing guitar and she also learnt film making there. In her school days, she use to perform with local bands which were named as Dorothy’s Rainbow and Hansel Kissed Gretel.

Her entire childhood was spent in Gold Coast in Australia.

Amy Shark is not her permanent stage name. She has performed with many other stage names such as Amy Cushway, Amy Billings and Little Sleeper.

One of her initial albums named I Thought Of You Loud was released under the name Amy Cushway in 2008.

After that she has released many chartbustsers such as Broadway Gossips, It’s a Happy City, Love is Not Anorexic between 2007 and 2012 under different stage names as mentioned above.

She has also worked with Rugby League Team, Gold Coast Titans along with her Life Partner Shane Billings, who was also the manger of that team.

Amy has also released many award winning songs and album’s in her long lasting and successful career till now.

In the famous ARIA awards in Australia, she has been a regular nominee for many awards. In 2018 and 2019, she has won 12 awards in total and she has been nominated for more than 30 awards. She won the award for Best Pop Release for her song Night Thinker and for the same song she has also won the award for the Breakthrough Artist.

In 2018, for her work I said Hi, she won the award for Best Producer of the Year.

She has also been nominated for the Best Australian Act in the MTV Music Awards in 2018.

She has also gained a huge fanbase in USA from performing at celebrations as Noise Pop and BottleRock, and recently se has just delivered two other fine singles, Everyone Rise and Hey now.

Her recent work is a significantly melancholy and cloudy people pop number called “All the Lies About Me,” which hails from the vocalist musician guitarist’s next full-length offering “Cry Forever.”
