Career Story Of Aman Gupta, Co-founder and CMO of Boat Lifestyle

Aman Gupta is the co-founder and CMO of Boat Lifestyle, a fashion-forward consumer electronics company. Since April 2004, he has been the co-founder of Imagine Marketing India in New Delhi. Since June 2020, he has served as chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India’s D2C Council. Aman Gupta recently made his first appearance on television in a show. He appears as a shark on the Sony TV show Shark Tank India.
In 2011, Gupta graduated from Kellogg School of Management with a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with a focus on general management and marketing. The Indian School of Business was also where he received his graduate business education. Gupta is also a chartered accountant, having studied accounting and finance at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1999 to 2002.
In addition, he worked as a senior management consultant in KPMG’s Strategy Services Group in the Guragoan office. Gupta began his career as the co-founder and CEO of Advanced Telemedia Pvt Ltd, a company that assisted in the launch of worldwide brands such as Beats Audio, Sennheiser, and Telex in the Indian market.
In 2012, he made a career change and joined Harman International, where he worked as a Director of Sales. Aman quit this organization after around two years in the position of Sales Director. He co-created Imagine Marketing India in 2014, and with Sameer Mehta, he launched his own electronic company boAt in 2016.
Despite the fierce competition in the electrical products market, Aman maintained his composure and continued to work hard at all hours of the day and night. BOAT has 5,000 retail shops and 20 wholesalers, selling over 10,000 units each day and four million units per year. In the fiscal year 2020, they generated Rs 500 crore in income, up 108.8% from the previous year and increasing year after year.
