Building the First Concept Store in Gurgaon and the Founder of Fourseven Services, Rebekkah Kumar

Rebekkah Kumar is the founder of an online jewelry and accessories brand Fourseven Services, which provides accessories for men, women and children. It is an online store that started back in 2013. It is a direct to consumer brand. She is currently working on scaling her business in India and abroad.

Rebekah fell in love with India as soon as she arrived in 1994, falling in love with the nation’s art, culture, legacy, and craftsmanship, which is distinctive to each state. She is a fervent jewelry enthusiast and has investigated what India has to offer, finding some lovely pieces, but she thought there were not enough silver jewelry alternatives suitable for the modern Indian woman, combining indigenous patterns with modern sensibilities. This insight inspired her to launch Fourseven, an online retailer of silver jewellery, in 2013. She didn’t have any expertise making jewellery, but she did have an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and two decades of experience at Microsoft developing e-commerce products, brands, and businesses.

Rebekah and her team manage the entire process from the development of comprehensive 3D digital drawings to carrying out a thorough internal quality control check on each item before they make their items available to clients. They have built their first concept shop in Gurgaon and are presently shipping throughout all of India as well as to 12 other nations in North America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. Fourseven received Rs 3 crore in angel finance for the first design setup and production agreements, while Rebekkah also used personal resources. Her current team size is 15, and they work in the areas of design, manufacturing, quality control, operations, customer service, marketing, technology, and retail.
