Bala Sarda is the founder and CEO of VAHDAM Teas, one of the first vertically integrated online-only tea companies in the world. It obtains excellent garden fresh teas directly from more than 150 tea estates and delivers them to customers all over the world.
Bala hails from a tea family with over 80 years of experience, and it was while working in his family’s bulk export business that he recognised the $90 billion tea market’s massive gaps. In early 2015, he founded Vahdam Teas to address these issues by leveraging technology to make garden fresh teas available to consumers all over the world, direct from the source, under a home-grown tea brand. By launching India’s first digitally native, global wellness business, the 29-year-old entrepreneur has made history.
