Anup Kumar Captain COOL of Kabaddi.
ANUP KUMAR, born 20th November 1983, is the former captain of the Indian Kabaddi team and is currently the coach of Puneli Parthan. He helped his team in India win gold medals at the 2010 Asian Games, 2014, 2016 South Asian Games and 2016 Kabaddi Worlds His Cup. Anup Kumar is considered the smartest of his Kabaddi players and a captain his cool who can easily turn a difficult match into an advantage. Known for shocking opponents. The toe touch is a trademark. He announced his retirement from all forms of Kabaddi sport on December 19, 2018.
Anoop was born in Parla village, Gurgaon district, Haryana, India. Ransingh Yadav (father) and Baro Devi (mother). He belongs to a simple middle-class family.
His interest in sports was never great, but he played kabaddi for fun in his spare time during his childhood. However, after he joined the CRPF in late 2005, his interest in the sport increased after being praised by his peers and by his CRPF his Kabaddi coach, his Amarsingh Yadav.
He soon decided to make sport his profession. In this process, his coach Amarsingh Yadav played a key role by providing him with proper equipment and information.
Anup Kumar made his international debut representing India at the 2010 Asian Games, where the Indian team won the final match capturing gold for the country defeating Iran by a 20-37 score.The feat was repeated in 2014 at the same tournament, where India won gold defeating Iran by a 27-25 score.Anup Kumar’s smart captaincy and high raiding skills helped the India team win gold at the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.
The same year, under his captaincy India won gold at the 2016 South Asian Games.
