A Corporate Girl Turned Into Social Entrepreneur and Changing Lives Of poor Kids With Share at Door Step, Anushka Jain

Anushka Jain is the founder of Share at Door Step (SADS), a cause-commerce website that allows users to donate things and receive incentives without having to leave their homes. She is addressing the problem of “piling goods” in families through SADS by assisting people in responsibly disposing of unneeded items.
She created SADS after observing the obstacles experienced by her mother, who couldn’t find time to travel to an NGO to give clothes and books. She is an engineer by degree, a marketer by coincidence, and an entrepreneur by choice. Anushka has been highlighted as a domain expert on several platforms and routinely instructs NGOs and corporates on cause marketing.

Starting SADS as a corporate working professional was not easy. Anushka founded SADS in 2015, although she, like millions of Indians, came from a middle-class household, and creating her own business was not something her family approved of.
Years ago, Jain observed that many people had garments they’d like to donate to those in need but are unable to do so due to a lack of resources, whether it’s finding a physical place, following donation standards, or just not having the time to bring the items to a donation center. As a result, she founded Share At Door Step, a handy service that comes to your door to collect gently worn products and arranges their donation to a non-profit or charity. Thousands of poor children and adults benefit from Jain’s work today, and he is also doing good on the ground for the environment.

SADS has also received other awards, including the Digital Women Awards’ eCommerce category in 2017, the Manthan Award, the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Women Entrepreneurs Award in 2018, and the Social Track’s Seaside Startup Summit in 2018.
Anushka was one of ten entrepreneurs chosen for the Envision accelerator program for advanced stage firms by the Indian School of Business (ISB) and DLabs. She is also a frequent speaker on cause marketing and social entrepreneurship, having spoken at events such as SAP TechEd, IIMB, and iVolunteer.
